1. The reason why you need to certified by Notary Public in Bangkok
When you are living in Bangkok and you need to use or submit your document to oversea authority, the such authority needs to make sure that the document is prepared and/or signed by you.
Because it has possibility that the document can be faked and you are unaware of it.
So, the authority in oversea need someone that reliable and control by government certified that such document and/or signature is real.

2. Who can be the Notary Public in Bangkok to certified your document?
You need to understand that not every lawyer is Notary Public. Only the lawyers who pass exam and training from The Lawyer Council Association of Thailand can the Notary Public in Bangkok.
First, They need to graduate from Bachelor Degree from the University first. This Bachelor Degree will take time to study allow 4 years.
Then, they need to study and training for Lawyer License or we called Attorney-at-Law License. This license is very hard to get. And they need to pass theory examination, practice examination, interview examination, and become trainee in the real law firm for more than 6 months. The overall timeframe is around 1 and half years.
Finally, they can register and training with The Lawyer Council of Thailand again to become the Notary Public Service in Bangkok.

Power of Attorney: This is the important document that you allow someone in oversea to be your representative or act on behalf for you because you are in Bangkok and are not convenience to travel to oversea. The activities under POA maybe sale the property, mortgage the property, release mortgage the property, sale the car etc. I
In this case the Notary Public in Bangkok need to certified that you are signing the document in front of Notary.
Passport: As this document can be easily to fake, the authority in oversea need to make sure that the copy that you provide to them is the real copy from the original.
In this case the Notary Public in Bangkok will stamp “CERTIFIED TRUE COPY’ on the passport and put the Notary’s stamp on it.
Embassy form: Sometime, your Embassy need you to sign the document on specific Embassy form such as consent letter, passport application etc. They will advise you to get Notary Stamp on such form. So, you need this certified by Notary Public in Bangkok for you.
Proof of Address: Most likely, this kind of this certification will use for open bank account, trust account, stock trading account with the financial institution in aboard that they require information of your domicile place.

4. How to get your document certified by Notary Public in Bangkok?
Once you sure that you are in need to get Notary Stamp on your document, here is the process how you can get certified by Notary Public in Bangkok:
- Step 1: You should prepare the document that you willing to certified to be ready in your hand.
- Step 2: You can contact the Notary Public in Bangkok via telephone call, LINE, WhatsApp or Email.
